Job Summary:

 

The FDX TM Product Line Director is responsible for driving the business results of the 22FDX® (22nm FD-SOI) and 12FDXTM (12nm FD-SOI) product offerings. The candidate will partner with key functional teams to perform product and portfolio level business/market analysis and use the results to define short and long term product strategies.  This includes product definition, competitive analysis and positioning, business planning, business case development and approval, management of product line P&L, go-to-market collateral development, and customer and sales engagement.

 

Furthermore, theoretical revenue is translated into actual demand creation and management.  By working closely between the customers, the wafer fabrication facilities, the field application engineers, sales, enablement, IP, and all product team members to maximize utilization of fab assets, influence analysis of asset utilization and manage decisions on the product line.

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Product definition; including technology, design ecosystem, and IP
  • Competitive benchmarking and differentiated value proposition
  • Program planning and technology execution
  • Set and execute to the financial objectives
  • Perform market and demand analysis
  • Business case creation (Demand, Capacity, ASP, Cost, OpEx, CapEx, Licensing, Royalties)
  • Profit and loss management for the product line
  • Design/EDA and IP ecosystem strategies
  • Design win sales targets
  • Customer engagements related to product line
  • Go-to-market collateral development
  • Manage the product life cycle approval process
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications

 

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.  M.S., Ph.D. or an M.B.A. is desired.
  • 15+ years of semiconductor industry experience; well-connected and respected in the industry
  • Direct experience managing teams and large projects (>$1B LTR)
  • Direct experience in product and program management
  • Direct experience in product development and qualification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D in Electrical Engineering or a related field is desired
  • Demonstrated knowledge or experience of customer interface is a plus
  • Advanced CMOS device development or process integration experience is a plus
  • Additional experience with RF/Analog design and/or Digital Design and IP is a plus
  • A bias toward action, ability to plan effectively and very comfortable working with data
  • Strong ability to use appropriate influence and persuasion skills
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of advanced semiconductor processes and their enablement
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Technical knowledge and ability to engage with other senior level technical experts inside and outside of the company.  Experience with leading edge nodes at 28nm and below.
  • An appropriate balance of creative "out of the box thinking" and an understanding of tried and true methods
  • Experienced leading in a globally dispersed environment with team members located in multiple locations and an ability to work in a matrixed environment
