Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of U.S. Steel's talent development programs, as well as the management of training metrics and development tools/resources in support of the company's overall business objectives. Primary focus areas include leadership development, professional skills, mentoring, and DE&I initiatives. The incumbent will collaborate with HRBPs, location training coordinators, and business stakeholders from across the organization to build and deploy talent development programs through a variety of formats including virtual, in-person, and digital. May deliver/facilitate programs, meetings and workshops as needed. Level of the role will be determined by candidate experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Manages the design, development, and deployment of learning content within a variety of talent development programs.* Create/manage all communications related to program deployment (e.g., program launch, monthly check-ins, program close, ongoing program promotion for future participants).* Facilitates meetings, workshops, programs, etc.* Performs general program support in a proactive manner to ensure successful learning events, including acting as a point of contact for programs and answering logistical and content related questions.* Designs supporting materials or toolkits for users related to new learning programs or initiatives. * Measures and analyzes effectiveness of learning solutions and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement with an emphasis on performance metrics including behavioral change and business results.* Assists with researching and implementing new learning technology aligned with business and talent needs* Collaborates with HRBPs, local training coordinators, and business leaders to provide L&D support to achieve the business objectives.* Conduct needs analysis to assess, recommend, design, and deliver training to address performance gaps/talent development needs. * Manages the Learning Management System (LMS) and related learning technology platforms.* Works with external vendors who supply learning content and delivery expertise to support deployment of talent development initiatives* Applies knowledge of adult learning to design, develop and deliver high-impact training programs across all functions and levels of the organization, including virtual and in-person classroom training, online content, and blended programs.* Continuously improves the design and development of internal learning content/materials across the organization. * Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of development programs in partnership with the local training coordinators and HRBPs.* Stays current with industry best practices and current learning technologies.EDUCATION: * Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Training & Development, Adult Education, Instructional Design, Psychology, Business, Human Resources Management, or related discipline required. * 5 or more years' experience in designing and implementing talent development programs in a corporate or industry setting required REQUIREMENTS: * Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.* Ability to facilitate meetings, workshops, programs or other learning activities.* Advanced proficiency in creating presentations and training documentation using Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).* Experience with facilitating virtual/in-person classroom learning and developing learning content in a business setting* Ability to analyze data/interpret program evaluation data and make recommendations* Ability to establish and maintain relationships with co-workers, vendors, and peers* Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities* Knowledge of learning design and development processes, including adult learning principles* Experience with learning technologies such as on-line content platforms, Learning Management Systems, knowledge sharing systems, and collaboration tools* Strong communication skills with demonstrated experience interacting with employees at all levels* Understanding of and experience in delivering learning through traditional and modern training methods (e.g., e-learning, virtual, classroom instructor-led, digital, etc.)* Understanding of and experience with learning modalities outside of traditional classroom or academic work (e.g., social, coaching, experiential)
