The Role The Kitchen/Day Porters are responsible for the cleaning, upkeep, and maintenance of all kitchens and the overall operations of the Ohio office. Both roles have duties specific to each position and will be cross-trained with each other. This person must be detail-oriented, have strong customer service values, time management skills, and the ability to work in an environment that changes day-to-day. This role will work closely with the Office Manager on all day-to-day building operations. What You'll Do Gather dirty dishes, wash/dry and restock as needed Proper use and operation of a dishwasher Keep all kitchen areas clean and stocked throughout the day Clean and wipe down surfaces and touchpoints Ensure the main kitchen is clean, organized, and ready for daily meal service Gather and empty trash Receive, stock, and inventory deliveries/products Identify and report to management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs Rotate and consolidate product based on freshness and labels Kitchen Prep - responsible for Infused Water Prep and drink station (cleaning, filling, and upkeep) and Daily Popcorn machine Building cleaning & maintenance (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning, stocking supplies, etc.) Other related duties as assigned by the manager Requirements Experience in a food service operation Strong customer serviceAbility to effectively communicate Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment Ability to be on your feet for most of the day Able to lift up to 50 lbs Able to juggle multiple tasks with efficiency and accuracy Self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude Ability to follow instructions and safety policies Ability to do basic repairs & maintenance Attendance and Punctuality; essential function of the position Flexibility in scheduling for office events as needed Nice to Have Basic computer knowledge Ability to do basic repairs & maintenance Experience in a corporate kitchen Food preparation skills and/or experience Perks & Benefits Healthy, free, provided lunches and snacks every day Allocations for continuous learning & development Veeva's headquarters is located in the San Francisco Bay Area with offices in more than 15 countries around the world.
