THE JOB:

The Sr. Manager Talent Acquisition develops and implements strategies to lead the team in recruitment, learning and talent development, change management and culture altering initiatives in the areas of Talent Management. They will ensure a best-in-class approach to talent management through innovative recruitment, performance management, succession planning, career mapping and talent development. They will also be responsible for directing all processes to attract, recruit, retain and develop top level talent to include internal and external executives, managers, professionals, technicians and support staff.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Identify and implement innovative strategies to acquire talent, including initiating and maintaining relationships with outside sources (e.g. employment agencies, recruiters, colleges and job fair sponsors).
  • Implements human resources strategies by establishing department accountabilities, including recruitment, hiring, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations.
  • Manages human resources operations by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, and counseling staff; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing staff job contributions.
  • Evaluate selection criteria and testing techniques to ensure compliance to standards.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of revisions
  • Develop and control talent acquisition/management budget.
  • Oversees effective talent management activities for the organization; approves and evaluates effectiveness of talent development programs, methods, content, tools, and technology through the use of quantitative and qualitative metrics; makes recommendations for maximizing existing resources; suggests the introduction of new tools and technology that align with the TA Center of Excellence strategy and organizational need.
  • Research latest developments in management, leadership, and organizational development areas and keeps abreast to serve as a subject matter expert and consultant to the organization regarding critical people issues.
  • Supports management by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions, analyzing information and applications.
  • Creates and maintains reporting mechanisms and staffing metrics for executive management.
  • Through cross-functional collaboration with organizational leaders and directors, contributes to the development of the organization's talent management, performance management and succession planning strategies, including analyzing and assessing results.
  • Develops, administers, coordinates, and communicates a process which focuses on building bench strength and high-potential staff members to meet current and future organizational needs.
  • Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations governing the employment process.
  • Reinforces corporate culture and values through curriculum design and development and helps model how to put our values into action for all staff.

THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational development or another related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years of prior relevant experience in Talent Acquisition.
