Position Summary Under the direction of the Divisional Director of Development the Entertainment Engagement Director is responsible for implementing administrative and donor-related activities for the development and engagement of the entertainment industry and local officials. This position identifies, cultivates, solicits, stewards' individuals and groups in the entertainment industry and local government to support The Salvation Army in Southern California. The Entertainment Engagement Director consults with the Divisional Commander, Director of Development and the Divisional Secretary for the LA Metro to strategize fundraising efforts for the entertainment industry. This position plays a critical role in the fundraising efforts of the Southern California Division through donor communication and interface. Essential Functions
PAY RATE: $100K-$115K/YR. Special Events & Awareness
Working Conditions Ability to walk, stand, bend squat climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Ability to be able to lift up to 50lbs. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as file cabinet drawers and reach overhead. Ability to operate computer, fax and telephone. Minimum Qualifications
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Education
Bachelors of Communication (preferred)
Experience
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office tools and familiarity with donor management software and email applications. (required)
Entertainment industry and government contacts, current book of contacts concentrated in Southern California (required) Strong relationship building skills, as well as a deep knowledge of the community.
