Responsibilities:

  • Participate in a team of software engineers to conduct verification of software applications and tools for Varian's latest treatment delivery system.
  • Work with software developers and product management to identify system and subsystem requirements.
  • Develop test cases and perform test execution in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Develop automated tests using C# or Python.
  • Develop, modify and execute software test plans.
  • Analyze product marketing requirements, design, code and test software.
  • Perform hands-on installation and configuration of SW components for the verification test environment.
  • Support application localization.
  • Write requirement specifications, design documents and other technical documents such as user manuals. (5 %)
  • Provide feedback on planning and status information.
  • Performing automation software testing using systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for treatment delivery products.
  • Developing, modifying, and executing automation software test plans.
  • Maintaining documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
  • Analyzing test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective actions
  • Performing product testing independently in test labs and test cell environments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science (or a related technical field) and 5+ years of related working experience Or Masters Degree in Computer Science (or a related technical field) with 3+ years of related working experience.
  • Strong programming skills, preferably in python and experience working with .NET framework.
  • Ability to demonstrate solid Object-Oriented Programming knowledge.
  • Proficiency in TFS (Azure) is a plus.
  • Professional work experience in testing of software.
  • Experience with Medical device testing in software/hardware integration is highly desired.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodology, industry standard testing, and bug tracking tools.
  • Good written and verbal communication (English), and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work on assigned tasks under tight time constraints.
  • Ability to do computer tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle.
  • Experience in a clinical radiation oncology environment and working knowledge of Varian products (Treatment Planning, information systems, treatment delivery systems) are highly desired.

The base pay range for this position is

Min $98,600 - Max $177,400

The pay wage range shown is based on the job posting's primary location. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications, and location.
