SUMMARY

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of a day program, physical location, and job sites. Responsible for oversight of implementation of all activities of daily living and behavioral programs designed to improve meaningful community integration/job performance per the Program Plan of each individual. Operates satellite site in accordance with all Marrakech, Inc. policies, procedures and protocols.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Employment Support




  • Conduct job development and placement activities.
  • Conduct employment related assessment activities to generate recommendations for job placement.
  • Conducts/advocates for employment that will increase economic self-sufficiency and self-image (i.e. increase workers' earnings and hours).
  • Keep workers supplied with appropriate and safe materials to ensure peak production when involved in a program setting.
  • Seeks and secures employment for the people we serve that match their strengths, needs, and preferences.
  • Ensures workers' compliance with all community work ite rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Provides group and individual vocational support.
  • Acts as liaison between employer and worker.



Management and Supervisory




  • Offers significant leadership to the Interdisciplinary Team regarding supported employment goals/services, community integration goals/services, and individual program goals, purposes and effectiveness.
  • Develops, coordinates and supervises programs/employment opportunities for people with disabilities in appropriate community-integrated settings.
  • Coordinates ancillary needs of the individuals with the appropriate primary provider.
  • Interview potential staff, hire, supervise, evaluate and train staff as needed for optimum program quality.
  • Ensure that all new staff members are oriented to the sites, attend regularly scheduled staff meetings and complete all required in-service training.
  • Serves as a liaison to parents, residences, professionals and significant team members to assure that services are rendered to effectively achieve program goals.
  • Schedules staff, programs, events and activities to achieve the program goals for each individuals.
  • Ensure that schedule is filled with staff that meet the requirements for appropriate and valid credentials and certifications as needed - i.e., PMT, CPR, First Aid, Medication Administration, Abuse and Neglect, etc.
  • Provides direct services to program participants as appropriate.
  • Takes leadership role in assuring that program center and vehicles are well maintained and adequately equipped to assure the health, safety and well-being of all individuals and staff.
  • Oversees programs of participants by writing quarterly and annual reports and attending team meetings as scheduled.
  • Maintains effective communication between day service staff and residential staff.


  • Coordinate time off for staff and ensure that coverage is consistent with program needs and Critical Information/Individual Data Form.


  • Schedule staff to work without using overtime hours. Obtain approval for any overtime hours at the program site before it is worked.
  • Reviews all incident reports and processes report per policy.
  • Collects and coordinates program evaluation data for quarterly, semiannual and annual reports.
  • Coordinates and ensures all communication regarding specific individuals within the day program.
  • Ensures required in-services for all employees and conduct training, orientations, evaluations and supervision sessions in a timely manner. Document all of these areas.
  • Coordinates resources (sub staff, vehicles, etc.) to assure programs are carried out.
  • Assures thorough and complete implementation of all program plans for all individuals from assessment to implementation of goals and services.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Master's Degree or Bachelor's degreein Human Services, Special Education or related field is preferred. A high school diploma/GEDand four years of progressive human service experienceacceptedin lieu of degree.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS



  • Department of Developmental Services - medication certification
  • Valid Connecticut Driver's License
  • Public Service License valid for the state of Connecticut
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • PMT certification

  • $44,243/yr
