Position Details:
The Developmental Disabilities Division is recruiting for a Lead Services Coordinator. This position will coordinate services for adults and children with developmental disabilities and have a reduced case load. As Lead, they will provide guidance and training to a team of services coordinators, develop resources and training materials for the division, and provide guidance and technical support for services as outlined in Oregon Administrative Rules. This position includes coordination of services for adults and children with developmental disabilities who live on their own, with their families, or in a foster care or group home setting. Coordination of services includes: conducting assessments, developing service plans, coordinating referrals, monitoring of plan-related services, and facilitating meetings.

This position requires the ability to collaborate with diverse audiences, specifically racially, ethnically, and socioeconomically diverse communities through various mediums; including but not limited to: telephone, email, mail, in person, and virtual. Additionally, it is essential to have competencies to create and provide trainings regarding policy changes, traveling and working in various settings including family homes, foster homes, and group homes, and working with a variety of individuals and their support teams.

This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule including remote work 2-3 days per week.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will have experience in the Developmental Disabilities field including knowledge of caseload management, assessment procedures, team coordination, and effective report and plan writing. As a Team Lead, the ideal candidate will also be able to actively model services coordination tasks and County values at all times. This position requires considerable written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to lead and collaborate with diverse audiences, specifically racially, ethnically, and socioeconomically diverse communities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Five (5) years of human services related experience including one (1) year of Developmental Disability case management experience; OR
  • Associate's degree in any field AND three (3) years of human services related experience including one (1) year of Developmental Disability case management experience; OR
  • Bachelor's degree in any field AND one (1) year of Developmental Disability case management experience.
  • Two (2) years of human services related case management experience may substitute for one (1) year of required Developmental Disability case management experience.

  • Some positions in this classification require the completion of a criminal history check in accordance with Oregon Administrative Rules.

  5. Conditional Offer of Appointment: Human Resources will conduct a salary analysis for the successful candidate(s) and extend an offer of appointment.
  6. Post-Offer Check: The successful candidate(s) will require to successfully clear a third-party background check as a pre-employment condition and Oregon State comprehensive background check as a condition of continuous employment.
  7. Start Date: A start date will be determined after all pre-employment condition(s) have been met.
