About the Job

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
35% - Teaching: Ability to teaching contemporary clinical practice in the areas of musculoskeletal practice, the movement system, and interventions to meet current DPT program teaching needs. Provide leadership classroom management in lab and lecture formats. Provide lab direction and support in musculoskeletal and intervention-based courses. Coordinate teaching in additional areas of content expertise where needs exist.

15% - Leadership in DEI: Using foundational knowledge in DEI principles and capacity, lead or co-lead existing initiatives as well as to identify opportunities for programmatic growth in DEI. Provide mentoring to students. Oversee our Pathways program, engage in recruitment of underrepresented students, and support broader DEI efforts of the Division

15% - Service: Participate in committee and professional service, and governance of the DPT program, as well as the Department, Medical School, and University. Contribute on committees as well as external professional engagement is expected. Coordinate the DPT Admissions.

20% - Research: Provide contributions to the research mission of the Division. This will include pursuing a defined scholarly agenda in collaboration with other faculty in their selected area of clinical expertise. Collaboration in research is expected to facilitate long-term success.

15% - Clinical Development: Coordinate DPT program initiatives associated with the development of a DPT Faculty Practice in collaboration with the Department. Maintain in-clinic practice to ensure ongoing clinical expertise and Board Certification through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.

The position is a part-time with an FTE of 50-60% with an annual salary

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Physical Therapy with 6 years of related experience
- Eligibility for licensure in Minnesota.
- Current clinical board certification
- Previous experience with clinical practice development and DPT Admissions processes
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Team based philosophy
- Demonstrated commitment and passion for the profession of Physical Therapy
- Demonstrated capacity for collaboration across a variety of settings

Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior classroom experience
