$19.50 per hour Position Summary: The Material Handler is responsible for filling internal orders and/or kanban signals for the production lines as required and to ensure inventory accuracy through timely entry of transactions and strict adherence to the cycle count system. Position Responsibilities: * Control the release of raw materials and finished product from Stock room inventory. * Put away received materials and store appropriately. * Perform required duties to maintain accurate stock inventory records. * Check balances and prepare purchase requisitions at material order points. * Perform cycle counts and ensure inventory accuracy. Correct variances as needed. * Maintain the 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) program for your area. * Adhere to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) in material handling/management as required by the FDA. * Support the production line through timely delivery of materials via internal orders and/or the kanban loop. * Submit recommendations to improve the material handling process and record keeping. Report opportunities to improve efficiency and eliminate waste. * Perform required data entry into ERP system (SAP). * Responsible for following safety requirements by wearing required personal protective equipment and identifying and eliminating unsafe acts and conditions in the workplace. * Assist in Shipping and Receiving departments as needed. Required: * High School diploma or equivalent. * At least 1 year of experience within material handling or a related area. * Good math and reading skills. * Strong computer skills. * Fluent in English (both written and oral). * Effective communication between both internal and external customers. * Must pass powered lift training within 3 months of hire. * Ability to be standing, sitting, and walking for extended periods of time. * Capable of handling boxes and loads of material up to 40 lbs. * Behavior skills and abilities: * Ability to work under minimal supervision. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. * Ability to manage time and prioritize critical priorities. * Team player who possesses outstanding customer service skills and is self-motivated. Preferred: * SAP experience. * Previous experience operating powered lift equipment such as forklifts. |
