What You Can Expect

The Project Coordinator, officed at our University of Iowa location, will assist Program Managers in coordinating the major activities required in project management: engineering design, procurement, construction, financial administration, commissioning and initial operations for central utility plant and distribution projects. In support of senior leadership, the Project Coordinator will serve as the local communications representative and will be jointly responsible for all stakeholder management and engagement opportunities. This position offers multiple paths for future career opportunities including Project Management or Business Development.

In this role, you will partner with project managers to assist in delivering the reporting requirements for all phases of project development and execution, coordinate and communicate with all project stakeholders from field level to executive, and research feasibility studies, technical documentation and condition assessments to write drafts of project business justifications for the project manager to review. You coordinate with Project and Contracts Managers to frame the RFQs and RFPs, draft engineering work releases, and issuance of purchase orders and assist in the bid evaluation for design professionals, vendors and contractors.




  • Track project execution for schedule and budget through the establishment of milestone dates, budget allocations and control of expenditures
  • Become responsible for scheduling design, pre-construction, and construction meetings across the Capital Projects program and for managing meeting minutes and action item completion weekly Maintain and revise the process and reporting templates for all project phases and assist the Program Manager with the close-out documentation
  • Lead small projects on an ad hoc basis
  • Assist in the coordination of senior leadership visits with the University, Capital Improvement and O&M teams
  • Engage with all stakeholders at the University of Iowa to maintain excellent relationships
  • Attend community events to network and build presence within the market



What You'll Bring



  • You should hold a Bachelor's degree where you have gained an understanding of professional communication and are comfortable giving presentations and have gained knowledge of construction management; In lieu of a four-year degree, you should have a minimum of two years of construction management experience and previous experience giving presentations to stakeholders
  • You possess or have the desire to earn a PMP certification
  • You will be required to utilize Microsoft Office, Procore, and other project management tools to gather and organize required data
  • Excellent organization and time management skills; ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks



Additional Details



  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • Must be available to travel domestically occasionally with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license/clean driving record; Operation of ENGIE vehicles is required
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy
  • Comfortable managing time-sensitive projects based on order of importance
  • This position consist of 10% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions



Compensation

Salary Range: $25.91 - $40.08 USD hourly

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
