We are currently seeking a Testing Engineering Specialist to join our team in Mclean, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).

Position Overview: NTT DATA is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Test Engineer will be responsible for system testing, developing test plans and cases, creating, and maintaining automated test scripts, and collaborating with other engineering departments to ensure the quality and reliability of our products and systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, data mapping, and construct data and metadata for use within test scripts.
  • Design and implement automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, UFT, or RFT.
  • Maintain automated tests and test environments, ensuring their stability and efficiency.
  • Configure test scripts to support cross-browser and API testing.
  • Monitor and test different systems and software components to identify and report defects.
  • Collaborate effectively with other engineering teams, including Development and Product, to ensure a smooth testing process.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and provide valuable feedback to stakeholders.
  • Implement incremental testing within an Agile development lifecycle (Agile & OneSDLC) using a combination of manual and automated testing approaches.
  • Configure and maintain test environments, including data integration and system configuration management.
  • Stay up to date on industry best practices for test automation and integrate seamlessly within our client development environment.
  • Utilize Agile development methodologies and tools to effectively manage testing tasks within iterative cycles.
  • Develop and execute test plans and test cases for products and systems.
  • Collaborate with other engineering departments to ensure seamless integration of testing processes.
  • Technical expertise is utilized in areas such as quality assurance methodologies, techniques, metrics, and state of the art tools.
  • Provides highly technical quality assurance methodology advice for medium level accounts and medium complex systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience with SW Development, software QA methodology,
  • 4+ years of experience advanced proficiency with requirements gathering tool, project management tools and concepts.
  • Must be a US citizen, eligible to obtaina favorable Public Trust

Preferred Qualifications

  • A general knowledge/familiarity with the IRS Risk Management Plan (RMP)
  • Experience with automated testing tools like Selenium, UFT, or RFT.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools
  • Experience with OneSDLC and implementing incremental testing.
