Department Overview

The company's Service Planning and Design organization (SP&D) supports the business vision by delivering customers safe, reliable, and affordable electric and gas services in compliance with all applicable regulatory and internal requirements. SP&D supports both gas and electric operations through its customer project management, design and estimating functions.

Position Summary

Functions as a liaison to IT from the line of business, representing the end users and business process owners in business system requirements, implementations, and support. Defines user system requirements, provides user support, coordinates user acceptance testing of new tools and gathers user's feedback. Performs feasibility analysis, develops project scope, and provides recommendations on alternative solutions, project strategy and deliverable prioritization.

This position has travel to other facilities for routine meetings about 5-10% of work schedule.

Location is flexible within the PG&E Service Territory, please note hiring leader will make final decision of what are appropriate headquarters for the role based on business need.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

A reasonable salary range is:

Bay Area Minimum:$118,000

Bay Area Maximum:$188,000

&/OR

California Minimum:$112,000

California Maximum: $179,000

This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide expert consulting in business and user needs.
• Analyze and document business requirements for complex projects.
• Analyze end-to-end complex business processes and coordinate with IT to develop and implement solutions to information needs.
• Understand in detail current and future business environment; effectively anticipate, identify, and fully meet the business needs.
• Identify, propose, and influence solutions to complex business problems.
• Anticipate concerns and questions, and provide proactive, timely and professional communications or delegate as appropriate.
• Act as a key contributor to teams that define, review and approve requirements for the business needs solution.
• Participate in UATs and perform quality reviews of test results.
• May assist with training, changemanagement and communications associated with system implementations.

• Contribute to business case development
• Participate in project estimates.

• Write manuals, Requests for Change, procedures.
• Supervisory Responsibility- Typically provides mentorship and guidance to less experienced employees.

Qualifications-

Minimum:

• BA/BS in Business, Engineering, Computer Science/Information Systems, etc. or equivalent work experience.
• 7 years of job related experience in Business, IT or Engineering fields.
• Participation in projects of high complexity at an expert level or in a leadership role.
• Continuous education in IT and business specific areas.
