What we're looking for

Toyota Mfg. Missouri's Manufacturing team is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Manager for Human Resources.

The primary responsibility is for the management of all TMR functions, including T/M relations, sensing, and investigations support. Additionally, this position provides operational and strategic support.

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Human Resources the person in this role will support forward thinking and be proactive in the application of HR practices and policies, including the benchmark of best practices within Toyota at other NAMCs.

What you'll be doing.

  • Provide support and supervision to HR staff. Provide tools to ensure staff can perform their jobs effectively and are provided appropriate feedback and development. This includes mentoring, coaching, and provision for ample training opportunities.
  • Ensure appropriate policy development, implementation, communication, and enforcement for TMMMO plant.
  • Lead the development and implementation of positive employee relations strategies.
  • Support processes and systems to provide for the accurate and complete retention of pertinent HR/personnel data, including all systems that TMR interfaces with.
  • Ensure good communications within the group, with members of management, and partnership with TMMTN.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Industrial Relations, Business, or related field.
  • A minimum of three years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills.
  • Understanding of Manufacturing and HR functions.
  • Understanding of NLRB and labor landscape
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle many projects at once; can coordinate teams of people and give clear direction.

Added bonus if you have

  • Experience within Toyota's manufacturing casting operations
  • HR Professional Certification (SHRM, LRI, or HRCI)
  • Creative problem-solving and project management
