Chapman University: Faculty Advancement: Wilkinson College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences: World Languages and Cultures Location Orange Open Date Mar 20, 2024 Salary Range or Pay Grade $68,000 - $78,000 Description The Department of World Languages and Cultures in Wilkinson College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences at Chapman University invites applications for an Instructor of Japanese Studies, beginning August 1, 2024. Chapman University is a nationally ranked, R2 Carnegie Classified private institution offering traditional undergraduate and graduate programs in the heart of Orange County, one of Southern California's most diverse and vibrant regions. Qualifications Applicants should have accomplished record of excellence in teaching at the university level, native or near-native fluency in Japanese, demonstrated organizational and management abilities, and ability to teach individual study as needed. The successful candidate will demonstrate a willingness to work within an articulated program headed by the Japanese program director and department chair.
