Lubbock Unit Manager 37416BR Military Veterans Programs Position Description Manages a unit within a department. Plans, organizes and develops goals and procedures for the unit. Represent the unit to administrators, outside agencies and others on relevant matters. Supervises subordinate staff. Major/Essential Functions Lead School Certifying Official for the Texas Hazlewood Exemption education benefits. Train and supervise up to five student workers by ensuring all State benefit applications are processed correctly and per the TVC and Texas Tech Institutional policies. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree plus three years supervisory experience; OR a combination of education and/or supervisory experience to equal seven years. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related filed. Three years of related administrative and technical experience. Additional job-related education may be substituted for required experience on a year-for-year basis.
