Standard Schedule: Part-Time variable schedule; a schedule will be provided up to 4 weeks in advance. Flexibility is needed; Ability to rotate weekend coverage is required. Pay Information: $15.00 Per Hour There is a shift differential of $1.75 per hour from 3pm-11pm and $2.25 per hour from 11pm-7am. An extra $1.00 per hour for any weekend hours. What You'll Do: We are seeking a customer-focused, compassionate Courier to provide for the delivery and return of blood products and materials to internal and external customers. You would be expected to comply with safety policies and procedures in the work area and always use applicable protective equipment to prevent exposure to potentially infectious blood and body fluids. As a Red Cross Team member, you will take care of your team members - show up for every shift and give 100% while you're there. Physical Requirements: Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Frequently lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs unassisted. Frequently required to push carts weighing up to 100 pounds on flat flooring or ramps. Frequently required to stand for long periods, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch. Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus. Able to withstand temperatures in a typical blood banking environment including refrigerators and freezers.
