Lubbock Behavior Technician 37415BR Burkhart Center Position Description Performs instructional and educational work while serving as a teacher in a classroom/lab. Organizes and develops course work, coordinates classes for students, observes and assesses the needs of the students. Required Qualifications Post-secondary certification/degree required. Two years of teaching experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience participating in assessment, intervention, and program modification based on data to ensure continued success of students with autism and other developmental disabilities. Safety Information Adherence to robust safety practices and compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations are responsibilities of all TTU employees. Occasional Duties Develop lesson plans and provide group and individualized intervention for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, faculty, and administrators on developing individualized instructional and behavior management programs for individuals with autism . Assist with data collection. Communicate with parents, administrators and staff on a daily basis. Participate in parent training. Flexibility for minor schedule changes.
