Job Functions / Responsibilities

This position will assist in the study, analysis, development and documentation of plant assembly processes.The job also includes assistance in continuous improvement efforts focusing ondepartmental quality improvements, ergonomic improvements, line balance optimization and overall departmental efficiency improvements. Professional communication will be required with production employees, management staff, and manufacturing engineers.

  • Time Studies to gain support for future projects.
  • Time studies needed for labor balancing and equipment optimization for in process projects.
  • Engineering support for sustaining projects related to tooling and equipment.
  • Engineering support for in process Capital Budget projects
  • Engineering support for continuous improvement projects
  • Ergonomics investigations
  • Connected Manufacturing activity support.
  • Drone flights to support business needs.
Skills / Competencies
  • Must be currently enrolled in an Engineeringprogram and have completed theirsophomore year of college.
  • Excellent technical, verbal, written and presentations skills.
  • Proven problem-solving skills are required.
  • Knowledge of industrial tools, hand tools and power tools is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a self-directed environment is preferred.
  • Must be flexible to work portions of day and evening shift.
  • Strong MS Office skills required. Specifically: Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • 3.0 GPA or higher is preferred.
