We are looking for a Certified Professional Coder or Certified Professional Coder-Apprentice to join our team as a Claims Audit Intern.

What you'll be doing...

  • Participate in claims audits, quality assurance reviews, to identify coding discrepancies and areas for improvement.

  • Provide education and training to provider clinics and stakeholders on coding best practices and compliance requirements.

  • Review provider documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines.

  • Assist in special projects including tracking, reporting, and execution of procedures.

  • Work cross-functionally with various departments to ensure alignment on audit initiatives and operational goals.

About you...

  • CPC-A, CPC, CCA, CCS or CCS-P certification required

  • Strong Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) skills and ability to efficiently work with large volumes of data and pivot tables

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Must be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment with time management skills, attention to detail, and demonstrated ability to multitask

  • Must be driven to deliver results with the ability to establish rapport, earn trust, and effectively collaborate with others

  • Demonstrated ability to be adaptive and inquisitive, natural problem solver

  • Comfortable collaborating with and presenting to executives and clinics

In compliance with New York City's Wage Transparency Law, the annual salary [wage] range for NYC-based applicants is: $20 - $25 per hour. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary, cash bonus, and equity.
