Job Description

We are currently hiring an Inventory Control Specialist in Breinigsville, PA.

The Receiving/Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for assuring the timely and accurate delivery of packaging materials to SAPB. The position will be responsible for validation and follow up investigation to ensure all designated materials are accounted for, in the correct location, and are systematically represented.

What You'll Brew:



  • Must be able to work in a team oriented and "Safety First" environment. Safely, efficiently and effectively work to attain department and brewery goals and objectives. Help ensure "No bad beer leaves the brewery."
  • Must observe and practice all Department/Brewery Procedures. Including wearing proper PPE, respirators and/or all safety and sanitation equipment as required. Must also enforce and follow all GMP guidelines.
  • Must be receptive to working in a team environment and maintain positive working relationships with others.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and make recommendations to process.
  • Communicate with coworkers face to face and on brewery phones and radios. Must carry radio as required.
  • Operate forklifts as required.
  • Assist with supporting overtime as needed to cover varying production needs. May include 12 hour days, weekends and/or holidays.
  • Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
  • Daily cycle counting of cans and glass, both in house and at the South Warehouse facility. This includes, but is not limited to, the elimination of material inventory discrepancies and assurance that all packaging materials are counted and adjusted which will, in turn, assure the reliability of inventories for production runs.
  • Assure incoming materials are within all brewery quality specifications and documentation is maintained for all materials.
  • Following escalation protocol when discrepancies are found between physical counts and systematic counts through reconciliation process.
  • Work with brewery teams to proactively empty partial trailers and consolidate cans across trailers while minimizing inefficiencies in the overall operation.
  • Work with Planning, Packaging, and the Warehouse to ensure all materials needed for upcoming production runs are on site and ready for use.
  • Liaison with Operations and Finance on development of RFIA and destruction requests with regard to disposition of obsolete/unused materials.



What Ingredients You'll Bring:



  • Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in the associated functional area.
  • Knowledge of warehouse/distribution technologies and methods.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be successful in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to be flexible and shift priorities in a constantly changing, fast-paced work environment.
  • Highly effective multi-tasker; resourceful with a "get-it-done, can-do" attitude.
  • Analytical thought process with ability to recognize issues outside of documented process.
  • Computer proficiency with SAP and above average proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Excel & Outlook.
  • Proficient or ability to become proficient in current and future WMS implementations.
  • Self-starter, proactive, and able to work in an unsupervised environment while maintaining daily, weekly and monthly departmental goals.
  • Strong personal leadership and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory control methods, planning, and technologies a plus.
  • Previous experience operating a forklift in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must practice safe work methods and comply with wearing / using the proper PPE 100% of the time on the floor and always work in a safe manner.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. repetitively throughout each shift.
  • Must be able to work 12 hour shifts as assigned.
  • Will require off shift/weekend work as needed.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to endure on a daily basis, walking, standing, sitting, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Tolerate summer/winter temperature conditions and hot and cold room environments as well as be prepared for outdoor elements for 25% of the workday.
  • Assist with supporting overtime as needed to cover varying production needs. May include 12 hour days, weekends and/or holidays.


Level 9

Hourly: In accordance with pay transparency lawsthe pay rate for this role if hired is $22.40
