Art, Drama or Dance Therapist Langley Porter Psychiatric Hospital Full Time 77947BR Job Summary Provides comprehensive rehabilitation therapy assessment and treatment interventions for adult psychiatric inpatients in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Plans, develops, and implements individual and group therapy sessions for adult inpatients. Primary responsibilities include: conducting group and individual therapy with patients; maintaining accurate and up-to-date charting; maintaining supplies and organizing inventory, supporting community and donor relations; and supervising interns and volunteers. Provides patient and/or family education regarding independent living skills, including self-care, socialization, leisure and coping skills. Provides specialized clinical groups and interventions including music, drama, art therapy as well as dual diagnosis/substance abuse, pain management. Executes formal assessments of functional life skills using the Kohlman Evaluation of Living Skills (KELS). An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role. For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range. Required Qualifications * Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree required (as per requirements of the profession). Preferred Qualifications * Experience working with people who have acute/severe mental illness.
