This is a hybrid role with onsite days Tues-Thurs in Maple Plain, MN.

What you will do:



  • Develop and execute account-specific strategies to drive year-over-year (YoY) growth across all service lines.
  • Cultivate a deep understanding of customer needs, decision-making processes, and industry requirements to fuel account growth.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of your assigned account's business problems, and successfully recommend a Protolabs solution to solve them.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership, product owners, Product Sales Leaders, Customer Service, and marketing to devise winning strategies that drive growth at assigned accounts.
  • Prospecting and engaging with customers to generate new opportunities across all service lines.
  • Identify, prioritize, and target new contacts within the assigned customer base.
  • Foster strong relationships with customers, including senior decision-makers and influencers, to ensure growth and retention strategies will be successful.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to educate customers on Protolabs' value proposition and drive new business.
  • Adhere to quality and safety standards, along with company policies and operational procedures.


What it takes



  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field OR equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
  • Proven experience with a track record of success in B2B sales, preferably within Fortune 1000 companies.
  • Ability to navigate multi divisional organizations and assess where the opportunities are.
  • Proficiency in sales processes and leveraging them to drive account growth.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills with the capability to develop customer-specific proposals and presentations.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to build influential relationships.
  • Experience with CRM tools for sales process management and forecasting.

Physical Demands:

While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use a computer keyboard, monitor and mouse, telephone and printer; reach with hands, and arms, talk, see and hear. Work Environment:

Indoors (A/C); nonsmoking; the majority of this job function is performed in an office setting requiring normal safety precautions. However, there may be job duties that require the employee to spend time in the manufacturing areas exposed to machinery and noise; eye protection occasionally required. Occasionally works in outside weather conditions. Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
