Position: Senior Analyst, Compensation
Location: Getzville, NY or Ballantyne, NC
Position Overview: Reporting to the Sr Director, Total Rewards, the Senior Analyst, Compensation works independently as well as collaboratively with others to design, implement and administer compensation programs and policies that support the attraction and retention of top talent. The Compensation Analyst conducts analytical assessments and evaluations to understand complex issues to support decision making, policy development, system development, and administration of compensation-related processes. The Senior Compensation Analyst will ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Perform compensation analysis of new and existing positions relative to market data and gauge the effectiveness of the compensation strategy and design.
  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of market-based salary structures globally.
  • Administer the annual incentive plan for all global participants, including determining eligibility, calculating payments, and preparing statements.
  • Administration of the equity plans by processing equity grants, dividends, stock option exercises, and vesting of restricted stock units. Prepare equity-related files for the payroll, accounting, and tax departments.
  • Lead the annual merit review process by preparing market data and providing appropriate tools to leaders of each business unit to help them make annual compensation changes.
  • Participate in external compensation surveys to provide detailed analysis on competitive compensation trends and compliance.
  • Monitor compensation related activities and FLSA status to ensure compliance with Federal and State wage and hour laws.
  • Lead the preparation of the Compensation Discussion and Analysis (CD&A) portion of the annual proxy statement.
  • Assist with the preparation of compensation and equity plan-related materials for the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities:


  • Solid knowledge of compensation program design, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail must be able to mine data effectively, interpret results and create accurate reports.
  • Knowledge of Human Resource systems, internet software, and payroll systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications - specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience creating and generating Excel spreadsheets (e.g., V-lookup, graphs, pivot tables).
  • Demonstrate independent judgment, decision making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Skilled in interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Demonstrate effective relationship development skills and effectively communicate in individual and group settings.


Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university; or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years compensation-related experience and/or training; preferably with experience administering a market-based salary structure.



Compensation: $90,000 - $110,000
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in incentive plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
