Research Data Analyst

The department of Health Behavior and Society is seeking a Research Data Analyst whowill be responsible for management and analysis of complex data from multiples longitudinal and cross-sectional studies.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the research translation team to produce products including but not limited to reports for scientific, lay, and policy audiences summarizing study findings and progress, scientific manuscripts for publication, and presentations and reports.
• Lead data management and statistical analysis activities across multiple studies in collaboration with investigators, field management, data preparation/quality control lead, and data analysts.
• Prepare and maintain evolving analytic datasets suitable for primary, secondary, and multi-study comprehensive analyses.
• Produce publication-quality tables and figures, and associated interpretations, adhering to reproducible research standards.
• Create data visualization strategies to highlight research findings throughout research translation products.
• Successfully collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams.
• Ensure data integrity and compliance with security policies governed by HIPAA and the Johns Hopkins IRB.

• Experience working on a diverse team.
• Experience working with different communication styles.
• Mastery of statistical analysis packages (R, Stata, SAS, etc.).
• Problem-Solving skills, including organizing and investigating possible solutions and presenting them to the team for discussion.
• Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills in the preparation and presentation of results.
• Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with investigators and a "team-oriented" approach with other staff members.
• Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) proficiency.
• Technical qualifications or specialized certifications: Mastery of statistical analysis packages (R, Stata, SAS, etc.).

• Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
• Three years related experience.
• Additional education may substitute for required experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Role/Level/Range: ACRP/04/MC
Starting Salary Range: $47,500 - $83,300 Annually ($39,000 targeted; Commensurate with experience)

Schedule: Monday to Friday: 9 am - 5 pm
