DESCRIPTION

Involves providing administrative oversight for an executive, including the coordination of communications and pertinent data among a group of the executive's management staff. Performs and / or oversees high level related to UC San Diego Health initiatives, special projects or assignments, requiring a high level of independence and initiative in execution and implementation. Handles details and oversees work of a highly confidential and critical nature to support the executive on matters of significance. Provides Executive Office support for the Executive Office Team.

Provides leadership and professional expertise for units at the highest levels of administration at the University; must provide support to a direct report of the senior leadership and perform the following: develops and administers systems for managing information, projects and communications throughout unit; functions with a high degree of autonomy. Significant barriers to entry exist at this level (e.g., may require senior leaderships' approval).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Seven (7) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus three (3) years of related experience/training.

  • Professional level experience providing complex administrative support to a high-level executive.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Excellent skills in Word, Excel, Publisher, Powerpoint, Outlook. Experience and success in working knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs.

  • Must have experience and ability to: research and analyze data, anticipate future needs (be proactive), and ensure effective communication with key stakeholders and clients.

  • Represent the executive and department to the whole organization.

  • Handle and resolve issues/questions in a timely and effective manner.

  • Healthcare and Governmental / Community relations experience.

  • Healthcare experience.

  • Team-Centric collaboration experience.

  • Served in capacity as and Executive Assistant/Coordinator for a Senior Executive.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours (including evening and weekends) and locations based on business needs.

  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $74,300 - $134,500 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $35.58 - $64.42

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
