Responsibilities

PEDIATRIX is seeking full-time neonatal nurse practitioners to join our team providing care for a Level-III NICU at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH and a Level 2 NICU at Atrium Medical Center.

  • Miami Valley Hospital is the region’s well-established Level-IIIB neonatal intensive care unit. The highly respected community-based practice consists of 7 neonatologists and 12 NNPs. Miami Valley Hospital is the only facility in Dayton offering ECMO since 1986. As part of the Southwest Ohio practice, Miami Valley collaborates with Dayton Children’s Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to start with an established and cohesive group. Miami Valley Hospital serves a pediatric population of 1.4 million encompassing a 17 county referral area for perinatal cases.
  • Coverage of a 60-bed Level-IIIB NICU • Average daily census is 42 patients
  • There are 4,800 deliveries annually and 950 NICU admissions annually • Readily available subspecialty support • Flexible schedule provides work/life balance
  • Affiliated with Wright State Boonshoft School of Medicine with residents and medical students.
  • Responsibilities include coverage of the NICU with a Neonatologist in house as well as some well baby coverage..
  • Combination of 25 hour and 10 hour shifts at Miami Valley hospital.
  • Some 6 hour well baby shifts.
  • Atrium Medical Center has 18 hour shifts in house. This has some well babies and Level 2 SCN.

Qualifications

  • Current APRN national specialty certification
  • Minimum of a master’s degree
