Requisition Summary

The HR Summer Intern will perform specialized or moderately complex clerical and administrative tasks, utilizing general office equipment. The HR Intern will also be involved in a social media campaign, revamping the Dynacraft home page, and other additional duties as needed. The HR Intern position is located in McKinney, TX and will work independently and with others under general supervision.

Job Functions / Responsibilities
  • Updates and monitors applicant flow for affirmative action reporting.
  • Takes part in new hire orientation, interviewing, counseling and termination as needed.
  • Performs a variety of clerical, secretarial, and/or specialized administrative tasks.
  • Analyzes, schedules, collects, maintains, and/or processes information from a variety of sources, many times of a sensitive and confidential nature.
  • Acts as a resource to department heads.
  • Uses a personal computer to prepare correspondence and/or documeents, sometimes requiring independent judgment.
  • Performs general clerical duties, such as, but not limited to sorting, documenting, filing, and distiributing documents and supplies as necessary.
  • Responds to inquiries, screens calls, visitors, and letters, provides information as appropriate, routing complex inquiries for appropriate action, and any other related duties that may be assigned.
  • Orders, receives, distributes, and stocks supplies and serves as backup for other office assistant positions and other duties as assigned.
Skills / Competencies

The skills that are important to be successful in this position are as follows:

  • Junior/senior level college student majoring in human resources management, labor relations or business managment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work in a multi-client, high-paced, confidential environment.
  • Attendance is an essential function of all positions.
Qualifications
  • General knowledge of Human Resources practices.
Education

Bachelor's Degree in progress or completed in the past year.
