Who we're looking for

Toyota's TMNACorporate AccountingDepartment is looking for a passionate and highly-motivatedAnalyst, Benefits Accounting.

The primary responsibility of this role is to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting entries, reconciliation and reporting for all North American entities and work closely with Human Resources Benefits group to validate coding of benefit cost transactions to ensure proper financial statement classification.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting, the person in this role will support the Corporate Accounting's department's objective of timely financial close and accurate reporting of financial information

What you'll be doing

  • Validate coding of benefit cost transactions to ensure proper financial statement classification
  • Access benefit provider portal to retrieve billing/plan transactions for recording in the general ledger
  • Perform timely cash clearing of benefit items to avoid aged reconciling items
  • Certify tasks and account reconciliation in Blackline to evidence timely completeness
  • Collaborate with HR Benefits and Risk Management on cost allocation per entity

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience with accounting, financial reporting, finance, or other relevant experience.
  • Proven analytical, interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
  • Proven ability to work well independently under demanding deadlines and function effectively in a team-based environment.
  • Enthusiastic self-starter with ability multi task and be flexible and adaptable in a changing environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with multiple working groups
  • Organized and very detail oriented
  • Demonstrates proficiency in MS Excel skills and ability to work with systems.

Added bonus if you have

  • Current CPA license
  • Automobile industry experience
  • SAP S4/Hana Cloud knowledge or experience
  • Experience analyzing large volumes of data
