Sentara Healthcare is currently hiring for a Radiation Therapist to work in the Hampton Roads area at multiple locations to includeVirginia Beach, Norfolk, Suffolk, and Elizabeth City.

Hours/Shift:

Monday to Friday rotating dayshift hours.

This will be at least 1 shift every two weeks.

Location:

This is a FLEXI (as needed) position however many of our FLEXI techs choose to work full-time hours. When full-time positions become available our FLEXI techs are able to apply first.

This position will cover multiple Sentara Facilities located in Hampton Roads.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Required: Associate's Level Degree - Radiologic Technology
  • Required: Basic Life Support
  • Preferred: ARRT Radiation Therapy (T)
  • Required: New graduates required to pass boards within 6 months of hire. Applicants who completed an approved certification program prior to 2016 in lieu of associates degree will also be considered

Department/Position Overview:

Provide radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist according to established practices and standards. Duties may include reviewing prescription and diagnosis; acting as liaison with physician and supportive care personnel; preparing equipment, such as immobilization, treatment, and protection devices; and maintaining records, reports, and files.
