Department Information
Auxiliary Services manages a diverse portfolio of business services on the Georgia Tech campus. We strive to enhance the quality of life for our campus community by providing innovative services and operational excellence.

Enterprise-wide leadership, strategic planning, and management of Campus Credentialing and Access Control Systems, with focus on creating new value in business models, customer experiences, enhanced security measures, and internal capabilities that support core operations. Develop and implement digital transformation plans and oversee operations in digital sectors, including the service management program, cloud platforms and tools, and client services and support. Ensure that programs and services within Campus Credentialing and Access align with customer and Institute needs and expectations. Recommend and benchmark services and programs to align and evolve technology and service offerings, in response to peer institutions and industry advancements.

Job Summary

This role will plan, develop, and direct the overall, campus-wide physical access control service offering to ensure the safety and security of all campus facilities and community members. This position will interact on a regular basis with: Institute leadership, staff, and vendors. This position typically will advise and counsel: Institute leadership, staff, and vendors. Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Develop requirements and lead new physical access control installations to include capital projects and renovations. Perform all work in compliance with engineering plans, specifications, industry best practices, and institute standards. Communicate and coordinate effectively with internal and external project stakeholders to ensure all parties are well-informed and proper review and approval is received.

Job Duty 2 -
Set policies, procedures, and physical access control administration practices that ensure the timely assignment, revocation, and changes to individual privileges to ensure the safety and security of all campus facilities. Practices should reinforce the successful delivery of core departmental services within each facility.

Job Duty 3 -
Collaborate, develop, and support departmental initiatives, policy proposals, and policy plans.

Job Duty 4 -
Design, implement and manage an operational support model founded on core service management principles that ensures the highest level of service integrity, responsiveness, and continuity.

Job Duty 5 -
Develop and maintain strong stakeholder and vendor relationships.

Job Duty 6 -
Mentor and coach staff and ensure their professional development through continuing education and professional affiliations and association membership.

Job Duty 7 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business Information Technology, Project Management or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience
Seven to eight years of job related experience

Ensure that programs and services within campus access align with customer and Institute needs and expectations. Recommend and benchmark services and programs to align and evolve technology and service offerings.

Comprehensive knowledge of locks, card access systems, and ADA door requirements; comprehensive skills in the installation, operation and maintenance of electronic security systems; knowledge of the evaluation of construction blueprints; familiar with electric lock hardware installation; low voltage electrical hardware; strong computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office; must be familiar with the workings of complex computer networks and components.

SKILLS
This job requires advanced skills in planning, monitoring, influencing, budgeting, contracting, service management, project management, and negotiating and communicating with diverse stakeholders. Must have excellent communication skills and ability to apply innovative thinking with technical understanding across multiple organizations with diverse functions. Additional skills include strategic problem solving, ability to prioritize and execute competing tasks, and manage a team of IT professionals.
