About This Role:



This position will be the payroll functional lead for the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) payroll system for Kansas State University and affiliated agencies and is responsible for interfaces to the Financial Information System (FIS) and the K-State Student Information System (KSIS). The incumbent improves business processes by analyzing day-to-day and recurring operations and takes a functional lead in designing and communicating enhancements and fixes.

What You'll Need to Succeed:



Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with HR and payroll system configuration and setup.
  • Previous Experience with PeopleSoft HRMS 9.2, Workday, Lawson, Ceridian, or other ERP systems.
  • Data mapping experience between systems.
  • Experience developing functional specifications related to business processes or interface mapping.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of integration tools and processes as well as relational databases.
  • Excellent logical, analytical, problem-solving, oral and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and ability to conceive of the larger picture in relation to strategic planning.
  • Ability and desire for independent learning.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite products to include Excel, Word, Access, Visio and PowerPoint.
