The Advanced Development Center at ASML in Wilton, Connecticut is seeking a Materials Scientist/Spectroscopist to support the Forensics root cause analysis team.The Advanced Development Center (ADC) is a multi-disciplinary group of engineers and scientists focused on developing learning loop solutions, proto-typing of next generation wafer and reticle clamping systems and industrialization of proto-types that meet the system performance requirements. Role and Responsibilities The main job function is to develop materials characterization techniques pertaining to spectroscopy and to perform general material and chemical investigations in order to identify root causes. An important component of the role is to use of failure analysis tools like SEM, AFM, WLI, ToF-SIMS, FIB, etc., to measure R&D proto-types, components in various manufacturing stages, and customer product returns. Collecting, organizing, documenting, and communicating data is a critical part of our team that is dedicated to solving challenging engineering problems associated with achieving nanometer scale precision. The Spectroscopist will also be responsible for leading analysis of spectroscopy-based data to help solve ASML challenges as well as the development of new processes or techniques that can be utilized for various material cases.
