Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who uses the nursing process to provide and

direct patient care for a group of patients for a designated time frame.

  • Consistently demonstrates competence, compliance and accurate documentation during care delivery in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, Standards of Practice, and Hospital & Departmental Policies and Procedures.
  • Routinely cares for patients' and families' needs and/or performs department specific activities with excellent organizational skill, efficiency and appropriate fiscal accountability.
  • Provides excellent customer service, teamwork and communication using the SBAR communication principals during all interactions of job role.
  • Continuously synthesizes and evaluates assessment data to gain a comprehensive clinical picture and effectively uses supervisory skills and nursing process to independently and collaboratively anticipate, intervene and deliver excellent patient care.
  • Actively contributes to clean, safe, positive and professional work and patient care environment.
  • Actively participates in professional development, professional organizations, unit counsels, quality improvement initiatives promoting personal and institutional growth and improvements.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • ADN required
  • Must maintain current Texas RN License
  • BLS Required
