THE ROLE: Associate Engineer, Network

Job Summary:

As an Associate Engineer, you will be supporting our clients in the CT region and report to a Managing Consultant/Engineer for Networking.

Travel Requirements:

In this role you will be expected to travel up to 70%; daily local travel is expected as needed. It will be based in Glastonbury, CT Location.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with the delivery of projects through Statements of Work transactions on time and under budget
• Participate in discovery meetings and in detailed design whiteboard sessions.
• Develop skills to design around specific technical requirements, and articulate the designed solution to the client
• Work with a Lead Engineer to deliver projects from beginning to end and be able to support, assist, and work with other engineers on the project
• Cultivate skills around complex technological architecture
• Maximize customer loyalty through highly effective communication, precise work, exacting deliverable standards, and exceeding expectations during every phase of engagement.
• Work with Project Leaders, Coordinators, and Management in developing and delivering project documentation and UC trainings as per the defined project deliverables.
• Individual will be part of a mentorship program, and must be willing to work hard in order to achieve certifications and expertise to advance professional consulting skills

Required Skills:

• Help Desk or Network Operations Center
• Excellent customer facing skills
• Must be able to work in a collaborative fashion, fostering learning and knowledge sharing to complete customer projects

Additional Desired Skills:

• "Hands-on" technical expertise (preferred)
• Previous work experience with Cisco Networking product suite including, but not limited to:




• Core Routing and Switching platforms with troubleshooting using Cisco Best Practices
• OSPF, BGP, EIGRP. Redistribution of protocols and loop prevention
• TCP/IP protocol stack, TCP/IP headers and packets, the OSI model, and commonly used TCP/UDP ports and associated services
• Spanning Tree Protocol, Physical Stacking, Stack-wise Technologies
• Voice on Routing and Switching platforms

Education and Experience:

• Associates Degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
• 2+ experience with network troubleshooting; Help Desk or Network Operations Center
• Cisco CCNA - is preferred; must be earned within 3 months
