Job Description


Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Location: Norfolk, VA

SUMMARY: WR has an opportunity for a Logistics Analyst, Lead to provide assistance with material handling, storage, and logistics support of complex engineering systems and equipment, including technical documentation of breakdown of assemblies (bills of material, parts lists) to source materials for electronics and electrical assemblies to support repair and production operations.

Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:



  • Perform logistics activities related to material procurement submissions, sourcing materials supporting repair and production work using considerations such as low cost, timeliness, and accuracy to the parts list.
  • Conduct research in various databases to establish material retrieval locations, material sources, and disposition.
  • Execute material order submission, tracking, and expediting.
  • Support federal stock system research programs used to establish manufacturer, part number, national stock number, etc.
  • Assist in tracking materials needed through identification, sourcing, purchase requisition, on purchase order, and shipment to WR.
  • Inventory/receipt of government property utilizing Bill of Materials (BOMs) which include providing barcodes and internal database entry; this includes full inventory and tracking of systems and internal equipment upon receipt.
  • Conduct material and authorized vendor sourcing for end-of-life, form, fit, function, and interface replacement parts research.
  • Conduct verification of materials listed on orders and monitors material inventories.



Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or related field with two (2)+ years of experience in logistical tracking, reporting, record keeping, warehousing, material transfer, issuance, and disposition of government and/or commercial property.
  • OR Associate's degree in Business, Logistics, or related field with four (4)+ years of experience in logistical tracking, reporting, record keeping, warehousing, material transfer, issuance, and disposition of government and/or commercial property.
  • OR High School diploma or equivalent with six (6)+ years of experience in logistical tracking, reporting, record keeping, warehousing, material transfer, issuance, and disposition of government and/or commercial property.
  • Establish and maintain hard copies and electronic property record files and production status database records.
  • Conduct property physical inventory audits.
  • Estimate and proactively manage project-related workload requirements.
  • Coordinate and perform logistics activities related to the physical delivery of enterprise-wide logistics support that includes, but is not limited to supply, maintenance, and facilities management.
  • Establishes location and quantity control.


* Ability to interpret engineering drawings (assembly drawings, schematic diagrams, interconnect and, identify Build of Material leveling within drawing tree).

* General knowledge of administrative principles and analytical practices.

* Basic knowledge of MS Office Word, Excel.
