Patient Access Intake Representative

We are searching for a Patient Access Intake Representative to perform a variety of duties to facilitate patient access throughout the organization under the general direction of the Manager, Team Leader, or designee. This role is responsible for insuring patient compliance with applicable hospital policy and obtaining accurate patient information to insure patient safety and optimal reimbursement to the organization in accordance with various external regulations. They will determine and actively collect patient liabilities

$900 new hire sign-on bonus for this position. (rehires termed more than 1 year also eligible)

Hours: 24hrs

Shift: Evening/night shifts with weekend and holiday rotations; 3:00pm-11:00pm-11:00pm-7:00am

Location: Tobey Hospital - Wareham, MA



Education and/or Experience Requirements:

• Equal to completion of four years of high school plus additional courses or training required; Associate's Degree preferred.
• Medical Terminology Certificate required.
• Must demonstrate very good communication & interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer skills including medical based programs required.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and other software programs preferred.
• Three years related health care experience including working with third party payers required.

Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
