Position Summary The Youth Worker/ASP Aide position is a Part-Time position in support of the Corps ministry and its After-School Program. The Youth Worker/ASP Aide is directly responsible to the Corps Officer(s). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Corps Officer in children/youth related activities, assisting with the After School Program's daily activities, such as pick up at local schools, provide transportation to and from field trips, as well as basic daily set-up and clean-up of program activities. The Youth Worker is responsible for the Corps youth ministry and the volunteers which assist, including the coordination and oversight of Salvation Army Troops, YPL (teen ministry), Jr. Soldiers, and Sunday youth ministry. Additionally, the Youth Worker will aim to bridge the After-School Program to the Corps ministry provided by The Salvation Army. Essential Functions
Working Conditions Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead. Ability to operate computer, fax and telephone. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Minimum Qualifications

Education
Bachelors (preferred)
Experience
2 years: Minimum Experience Working With Children. (preferred)
Licenses & Certifications
Driver's License (required)
