This position will be providing float coverage for inpatient adults on both the Hillcrest and La Jolla Campuses. The Dietitian will be cross-trained to cover multiple service teams and will provide medical nutrition therapy for moderate to high-risk patients in medical-surgical and critical care units. Under supervision of the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the dietitian assesses nutrition needs, collaborates with healthcare team to provide nutrition support (enteral and parenteral) recommendations, provides education to patients and staff, and collaborates with outpatient team to facilitate timely discharge and transition of care to outpatient services. The dietitian will develop, implement and record the nutrition care plan in the EHR for all assigned patients. Continuously evaluates and monitors the effectiveness and outcomes of medical nutrition therapy intervention. Participates in department's special projects, performance improvement activities, and research. Provides nutrition lectures and in-services to nutrition and medical staff as assigned. Mentors dietetic interns/residents/students. Actively assesses, evaluates, and maintains professional development and competency. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $78,527 - $103,648 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $37.61 - $49.64 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). |
