Seneca Global Services, LLC is seeking a Junior Engineer to support our customer in Orlando, FL. This position will support engineering activities in support of a Multi-domain Operations (MDO) programs fixed, distributed, and deployable range capabilities through testing and evaluations of Emulated Environments, Test Monitoring and Control (TMC) scenarios and end-to-end data requirements. The ideal candidate for this role must be comfortable working in a transparent, collaborative team environment and possess outstanding communication, leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Support assessing systems and processes, determining problems, providing solutions to issues, designing systems, upgrading systems, and brainstorming possible improvements for the systems and processes.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving design issues impacting product performance, user experience, and business needs and priorities.
  • Support the Subject Matter Expert for the eXpeditionary Live, Virtual, Constructive Command Center (XLCC).
  • Assist in the employ engineering principles to foresee technical and schedule risks and to implement appropriate mitigation approaches that minimize risk while maximizing value.
  • Support innovative solutions to complex technical problems from ideation to execution.
  • Identify developmental opportunities for the creation of building blocks that can be leveraged across future product enhancements or in the creating of additional products within the portfolio.
  • Contribute to Systems Engineering requirements management in line with the internal quality procedures and external regulatory standards.
  • Support decomposing requirements into software functional requirements.
  • Support the technical guidance from a systems architecture and engineering perspective critical to support improving the accuracy, stability, and overall performance of the XLCC system as well as in the development of the MDO Environment.
  • Support and employ a DEVSECOPS approach for systems planning, design, execution, and sustainment in coordination with the Lead Systems Engineer.
  • Support capability development requests, working with the contractor, to create lean business cases that are decomposed in enough detail the contractor can provide us a rough order of magnitude cost estimate.
  • Support and/or lead sprint and release planning activities as well as the creation of and input to prioritizing backlog.
  • Participate in creating control features to ensure systems effectively meet the organizations quality standards, engage in quality control procedures, develop cost-efficient system for projects by performing cost-benefit analysis when needed, maximizing organizations efficiency.
  • Attend scrums and document minutes/actions/stats as necessary.
  • Assist with resolution of technical issues that adversely impact integration efforts with other programs.
  • Assist with identifying and supporting external dependencies where needed.


Qualifications:



  • Possess and maintain an active Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working DEVSECOPS on a Software-centric Agile program/project.
  • Experience with Live, Virtual, Constructive integration concept.
  • Must be able to write clear, concise, non-ambiguous, non-conflicting, testable, and traceable requirements leading the requirement and refinement process by understanding client requests and engaging across all stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of software features to plan for current and upcoming releases.
  • Possess interpersonal skills as they will work across organizational departments.
  • Has demonstrated experience successfully collaborating with others in a dynamic, fast-paced, pressured environment.
  • Able to apply knowledge to technologies you don't have firsthand experience with, valued more than deep siloed experience with one product.
