Anthropology Adjunct Faculty (TEMPORARY) Posting Number: F01078 Location: Diablo Valley College Salary: Description of Position: Diablo Valley College is seeking to add to its pool of adjunct faculty who can teach Cultural Anthropology, Biological Anthropology, Archaeology and other introductory anthropology courses. The successful candidate will also demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, ethnic backgrounds, and abilities of community college students. The successful applicant will be well qualified to teach introductory courses in Cultural Anthropology or Biological Anthropology. Minimum Qualification-Education/Experience: Understanding of and sensitivity to the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, staff and faculty. EDUCATION: Master's in anthropology or archaeology OR Bachelor's in either of the above AND Master's in sociology, biological sciences, forensic sciences, genetics or paleontology OR the equivalent Desirable Qualifications: Highly qualified candidates will possess knowledge, skills, and experience that address the desirable qualifications below.
