Job Description


Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Travel Requirements: Negligible

Location: Norfolk, VA or Fairfax, VA

SUMMARY: WR has an opportunity for a Software Engineer, Lead to research, design, and develop computer software systems for signal processing.

Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:



  • Program development, testing and integration in:

    • Python
    • C++
    • MATLAB




  • Full cycle development including software maintenance, debugging, testing and development.



Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:



  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics or Computer Science.
  • Six (6)+ years of Software Engineering.
  • Fluency in Python.
  • Should have experience with Numpy, modern C++, MATLAB and Linux.
  • Should have experience with performance optimization and parallel programming.
  • Should have experience with source management tools (such as GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket).
  • Should have experience with test-driven development and CI/CD principles.
  • Familiar with containerization and Docker.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of DDS, Kubernetes, physics, matrix math, and signal processing, GPU development.
