Hubbell Power Systems Manages and coordinates the activities of purchasing electronic components, mechanical parts. Obtains necessary purchases at lowest cost A Day In The Life
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following. Other duties may be assigned. Initiate requests for quotes (RFQ) and select best source consistent with cost, quality and delivery requirements. Negotiate and manage long term pricing agreements on critical commodities, utilizing blankets orders. Handles procurements for build-to-print-parts after determining price and availability through formal and informal requests for quotes (RFQs) of components used to build product. Expedite to an ever changing schedule. Process non-conforming material requests (NCMR) and RMA requests with distributors/vendors, in a timely manner. What will help you thrive in this role?
Additional Qualifications Strong negotiating skills. Ability to organize work, document and/or report concisely and accurately and be thorough in carrying out the responsibilities of the job. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Four year college or university degree in business or material management or equivalent experience. 4 plus years in a manufacturing environment with progressive responsibility.
