The actual appointment percentage is variable, derived from an estimated full-time (100%) annual salary range of $66,259 - $70,295. Percent time: Appointment positions are variable in terms of percentage of time. Anticipated start: spring quarter 2024 Position duration: One academic quarter with the possibility of reappointment that is dependent upon performance and departmental needs. Position description The Department of Theater and Dance invites applications for a position to teach a text/scansion class during spring quarter, 2024. Work will be in person on the UCSB campus; compensation will not include travel and housing expenses. Salary is based on UC's salary scales and depends on qualifications. Qualifications Basic qualifications (required at time of application) MFA in theater/performance art, or a minimum of 5 years professional experience as either a speech/voice/dialect instructor, or a college/university teacher. Preferred qualifications Certifications or designations in Fitzmaurice, Linklater, Rodenburg, or Knight Thompson Speechwork.
