Immigration Processing Assistant

The George Mason University Office of International Programs and Services ( OIPS), invites applications for an Immigration Processing Assistant. This is a part-time position, approximately 25-29 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

The Office of International Programs and Services seeks an individual to assist with several areas of international student and scholar services. Duties will include data entry and general office work associated with the processing of immigration documents with the SEVIS Coordination team.

Required Qualifications:

  • This position requires an individual who is dependable, detail-oriented, and well-organized;
  • The successful candidate will be diligent, careful, and able to work collaboratively as well as independently; and
  • Some of the duties associated with this position are governed by federal regulations; because of regulatory provisions, U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residence is a requirement for the position.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to learn data systems quickly;
  • Knowledge of Dynamic Forms, Adobe, and Excel;
  • Ability to monitor email platforms and communicate with students on a daily basis;
  • Ability to focus with a tolerance for repetitive tasks; and
  • Prior experience with immigration processing and/or office work is helpful, but not required.
