The individual who excels in this position will have a passion for understanding member behaviors specific to money management as well as the success of digital financial wellness tools. Utilizing market research, data analysis and business and product acumen, this individual will help the enterprise understand the use of existing and aid in the launch of new Financial Wellness offerings. This includes providing key insight and making recommendations for growth of financial wellness programs.

Normal Day-to-Day Work

  1. Collect, study, understand and report data from internal and external sources to gain and share insights to current and potential members' behaviors specific to personal money management. Ensure reliability and accuracy of all data. Transform raw data into easily digestible information, including completing month-end reporting for financial wellness offerings for presentation to management.
  2. Manage all financial wellness program data platforms to monitor, analyze and report results and trends in services by building and managing spreadsheets, templates, databases, reporting tools and dashboards to communicate trends to management team. Ensure that all remain in logical and working order. Work with internal and external partners to remedy problems or improve processes.
  3. Work with team mates to understand their business needs and requirements for analysis and make recommendations for research strategies.
  4. Assist with deployment and analysis of internal and third-party surveys to gain understanding of members' money management habits and utilization of financial wellness resources.
  5. Analyze data for all financial wellness offerings to gain understanding of member behavior, usage, engagement. Identify year over year/month over month trends in these specific areas to help provide insight for marketing opportunities.
  6. Conduct research for and assist in vetting potential product, service, and program opportunities and/ or feature enhancements for existing offerings to further drive financial capability among members and local government units.
  7. Participate in quality assurance testing for financial wellness programs, ensuring accurate and efficient end-user experience, all systems and links in good order. Monitor results and identify trends in service and identify opportunities to increase engagement.
  8. Develop and maintain written procedures for job activities, ensuring all remain current, accurate and in accordance with regulations.
  9. Assist in responding to and managing member inquiries as needed. Provide answers or know appropriate contact so responses are timely. Coordinate efforts with Legal and Compliance to ensure satisfactory resolution of member complaints.
  10. Working with Legal and Compliance, act as point of contact for vendor due diligence efforts for Financial Wellness products, services and programs.

Job Qualifications

Here are a few skills you MUST have to be considered for this position.

  1. Minimum 1-3 years market research and product/ financial analysis experience.
  2. Proven experience preparing detailed reports, recommendations and procedures. Must be able to present analyses in easily digestible format.
  3. Must be able to manage multiple priorities and tasks in fluid environment while maintaining accuracy in all details. Strong curiosity to understand concepts and willingness to stretch beyond one's comfort zone.
  4. PC proficient including Microsoft Office (Word, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook,) and the Internet and have excellent verbal, written, telephone and interpersonal communication skills. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  5. Ability to function in a Consumer business office environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: PC, copier, telephone, etc.
  6. Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. (file boxes, computer printer).
  7. Travel required sometimes

Here are a few qualifications we'd LIKE you to have to make you more suited for this position.

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Marketing or related field.
  2. Experience using Google Analytics, SAS Enterprise/ VA software and/or advanced Excel.
  3. Experience in financial services/financial counseling/planning, preferably within credit union industry.
  4. Strong business acumen and aptitude for technology and electronic delivery of financial services.
  5. Strong advocate of personal financial management tools and electronic delivery of financial services.
