BASIC FUNCTIONS:

Parker's Strategic Pricing Leadership Development Program (SPLDP) offers you the opportunity to develop strong technical knowledge and professional experience preparing you to play a crucial role in Parker's success by helping to win more business at prices that are fair, profitable, and differentiated.

Join us in this program as multiple others before you who are now evolving in roles such as Division or Group Strategic Pricing Leaders.

  • Program duration: 2 years
  • Program Structure: 4 rotational assignments
  • Rotations' length: 6 months each.
  • Travel requirements: The assignments will likely require relocation. You will also be required to travel to Parker's corporate headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio for program review, personal development and interaction with fellow program participants and mentors.
  • Relocation requirements: Geographic flexibility is required both during and upon completion of the program.
  • This is not a remote position.

POSITION SUMMARY:

A two-year Leadership Development Program to prepare new team members for future positions in Pricing at Parker locations. Assist Division Strategic Pricing Manager. Responsible for proactively analyzing and making recommendations considering customer value-based marketing, competitive markets, and company costs affecting the business plans and profitability across the Division. Will collect, analyze, and evaluate data supporting Division's price strategy

  • Assists in analyzing division product markets, determining the market level prices of products. Evaluates cause and effect with pricing, volume, cost, competition, distribution and segmentation. Recommends appropriate levels.
  • Monitors and keeps Divisions focused on Corporate Strategic Pricing initiatives. Responsible for creating and reinforcing continuous feedback vehicles to encourage successful pricing models. Responsible for implementation of tools to be used by product managers and field sales.
  • Assists Divisions in determining appropriate list prices, standard discounts and rebates, and managing any restructuring, updating, communication and publication of price increases.
  • Analyzes the exception pricing process by recommending guidelines, authority levels, and maintaining a disciplined and structured approach to exception pricing.
  • Provides management with reports which allow management to effectively respond to changing economic conditions and market changes. Performs ongoing measurements and reporting on pricing effectiveness.

To join this program, you need to meet or exceed the following criteria:

  • Undergraduate Degree in an applicable Business program with a graduation date before June 2024.
  • BS in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred; two years or more of relevant experience a plus.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel required.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Project management skills with sales/marketing/commercial experience a plus.
  • Willingness to relocate every six (6) months required.
  • Must be able to maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping pricing information confidential.
  • This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which requires the incumbent to be either a US citizen, lawful permanent resident ["green card" holders] or have refugee or asylee status).
