The Mission Engineering Group of the Force Projection Sector is seeking a creative kill chain engineer to help us research, design, and develop novel and leading-edge technologies that overcome modern defense challenges through augmented human decision making.

You will be joining a hardworking team of engineers and scientists who develop technologies, architectures, decision aids, and prototypes that enable warfighters to harness a diverse set of sensors, weapons, and platforms to accomplish a variety of precision strike missions critical to our nation's defense. As a Kill ChainEngineer, you will...

  • Work with a multidisciplinary team of analysts and developers focused on designing systems-of-systems approaches to develop and analyze complex military mission solutions.
  • Perform analysis across problem domains including intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance, data fusion, command and control, communications, weapons design, and non-kinetic effects for warfare domains spanning air, land, sea, cyber, and space.
  • Work two to three projects as a technical contributor with an expectation that you will assume increasing technical leadership opportunities by the end of the first year.

Qualifications

You meet our minimum qualifications if you...

  • Have at least a Master's degree in Operations Research, Control Systems Engineering, Systems Engineering, Data Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Technology Management and Policy, or another related discipline.
  • Have demonstrated experience working with precision strike kill chains and related systems.
  • Have an inquisitive mindset, ready to seek the right questions before looking to solutions.
  • Have experience in communicating complex ideas.
  • Are able to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain a TS/SCI level clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you...

  • Have a PhD in Operations Research, Control Systems Engineering, Systems Engineering, Data Science, Decision Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Technology Management and Policy, or another related discipline.
  • Have demonstrated technical leadership of a multidisciplinary effort.
  • Have military experience.
  • Have demonstrated experience working with a variety of kill chains and related systems.
  • Have experience using mission analysis tools, such as AFSIM.
  • Have a second Bachelors or Master's degree in National Security Studies, Economics, Statistics, Public Policy, or another related discipline.
