College of Marin is pleased to announce its 2023/2024 Faculty Diversity Internship Program (FDIP). The FDIP is intended to provide interns who are currently nearing completion of a Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited college or university with the opportunity to learn about College of Marin and the California Community College system from both inside and outside of the classroom. Interns will gain valuable community college experience and knowledge on how to ultimately gain employment teaching at a community college. This experience will include classroom instruction experience and relevant training. Interns will be paired with full-time, veteran faculty in their discipline to work closely together over the course of one academic year. The intern will have instructional opportunities to participate in the classroom, working directly with students, the interns will attend monthly training sessions. The program will culminate in the creation of a California Community College Faculty Hiring portfolio for each intern. All classes will be presented in person or online. However, interns are expected to be available in person for other internship activities.
