As an Industrial Engineering Manager, you will establish and maintain systems to implement Industry 4.0 practices, lean manufacturing, shop floor improvements, work cell relocations in a PCBA and/or fabrication manufacturing environment.In addition, you will be managing an hourly machine maintenance team who are responsible for maintaining all equipment within the manufacturing facility.

The position is one that combines individual contributor responsibilities and people management. The position requires individuals to be on-site so they can work with the various physical equipment, manufacturing processes, departments, and personnel as support of the manufacturing operation is top priority.

As a Industrial Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Establishing and driving implementation of Industry 4.0 tools and practices to optimize shop floor processes
  • Developing a yearly operational plan to define capital expenditures to support activities and projects
  • Providing input and driving strategic planning initiatives for manufacturing facility work centers and departments
  • Providing employee career planning, evaluations, hiring, salary planning, time entry/approval
  • Ensuring company safety, training, and site/corporate policies are completed and followed
  • Understanding, developing, and maintaining manufacturing KPI's such as OEE, takt-time, cycle-time, capacity, standard hours, value stream mapping
  • Working with machine maintenance team on developing, improving, and managing plant wide machine PM scheduling, MTBF, MTBT, Total Productive Maintenance along with providing associate KPI's
  • Developing and implementing Lean, Six Sigma and Process Improvement which includes 5S, Visual Management, Rapid Problem Solving, Kaizen PDCA, Process Control, and Standard work

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, mechatronics, or electrical engineering
  • Have a minimum 5 years of experience in managing hourly / salary direct reports
  • Have knowledge of design for manufacturability, lean manufacturing techniques, quality system and SPC tools
  • Have a proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams
  • Have experience in a manufacturing, production process and equipment, machine maintenance
  • Have experience with Maintenance Connection software application
